Planning for PowerPlay Young Entrepreneurs at your School
PowerPlay Young Entrepreneurs is a curriculum-based program where grades 4-8 students have fun planning and launching their own business ventures. It has been running at Elsipogtog School for five years and the successes have been captured in a mini-documentary called “A Pathway to Success”. A screening of this film will take place in the opening session of Day 3. In a separate planning workshop that immediately follows this viewing, you'll have the chance to ask questions about PowerPlay Young Entrepreneurs and learn how to engage diverse groups of learners with this experiential learning project. You’ll hear about our research at Elsipogtog School, find out how language and culture classes are supporting key activities, and discover how to engage and support parents and guardians at every step along the way. You'll also work with experienced educators to align the program with your goals, create solutions to potential obstacles and learn how to access PowerPlay materials free of charge.
