Connecting Educators Across the Atlantic to Empower Indigenous Learners
What is ANTEC?
The Atlantic Native Teachers’ Education Conference (ANTEC) is a dynamic professional gathering for all education professionals, including teachers, teaching assistants, curriculum consultants, educational specialists, administrators, and support staff.
Held every two years, ANTEC offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to connect, learn, and grow. The conference takes place on the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq and, on occasion, the Wolastoqey. ANTEC recognizes the deep-rooted histories, cultures, and knowledge systems of these First Nations and strives to uphold Indigenous-led education initiatives.
With a core focus on Indigenous education and the revitalization of Indigenous cultures, this event brings together passionate educators to share ideas, explore innovative teaching methods, and champion culturally responsive practices.
