Msit No'kmaq Forest & Nature School

At Msit No’kmaq Forest & Nature School we use Mi’kmaq culture, language and practices to inform our work and play. Our Forest and Nature School uses Indigenous land-based education to include:
 • Regular and repeated access to a natural space that supports sustainability. • Child-centered, interest-led, inquiry-driven, educator-supported, through play on the land and re-remembering land as first teacher. Forest and Nature School educators strive to provide children with opportunities to build an ongoing relationship with the land, with each other, and with themselves. Our presentation will reveal information about our community-based project, and insight into our day at Forest & Nature School and how the work we are doing is building strength and resiliency for our Mi'kmaq students.
