Message from the Conference Chair...

On behalf of the Lennox Island and Abegweit First Nations, the Mi'kmaq Confederacy of Prince Edward Island,
and the Regional ANTEC Planning Committee, I would like to extend an invitation and welcome all educators to
the 2014 Atlantic Native Teachers' Education Conference in May 2014 on Prince Edward Island.

The theme for this year's conference is "Sharing Tools for Teaching & Learning" and with this in mind, we hope the broad-range
of sessions available at ANTEC 2014 will provide all participants with relevant tools and resources for educating
Aboriginal learners of all ages.

The ANTEC 2014 Regional Planning Committee is already hard at work to make this
an informative and fun experience for all participants! We encourage educators working with Aboriginal communities
to take advantage of the discounted Early Bird registration fee and to get your banquet tickets before the limited
number are sold out. We also recommend you book your UPEI accommodations soon to ensure you get a reasonably-priced,
comfortable and convenient on-campus place to rest your head while you're here. Come early/stay late - there's so much
for you and your family to do here on Prince Edward Island!

We look forward to your participation.
